With just two pods on site, we’re proud to have created a secluded and relaxed experience for our guests. Hence we do not cater for groups.

Yes, we welcome single night bookings as it often makes sense when touring, visiting friends and family or for attending local events.

The pods are well insulated and have electric underfloor heating and gas heated hot water systems which along with clever lighting and furnishings resemble log cabins that are cosy in winter as well as light and airy in summer.

We typically are open over the festive season but otherwise we like to close in January and February for essential maintenance.

The accommodation is compact and designed with efficiency and comfort in mind. There are no particular obstacles or hazards to be cautious of. There are a few wide steps up to the entrance decking area. Wheelchairs are manoeuvrable up to the decking entrance but alas not inside due to space constraints. Hygiene facilities are standard rather than adapted.

To eliminate allergy risks for our guests and to protect our flock of sheep, we are sorry that we only permit assistance dogs. Contact us if your dog fulfils another caring role and we will consider your request.

Each pod has an information file including the contact telephone numbers for help in the event of an emergency.

It’s safest to always use the key lock provided. However, should you lose the key, contact the key-holder on the number displayed on site to
get a replacement. If you inadvertently take the key home with you, please kindly post it back to us at the administration address.

There is a lockable purpose built cycle shed available for 6 cycles in racks adjacent to the pod-paddock. Should all spaces be used up, there is further alarm protected space available within the stable block by arrangement. There is insufficient room to store cycles within the pods.

There is a hose bay adjacent to the paddock where cycles and boots can be cleaned and boot racking is provided inside the exterior porch to each pod.

The parking area has a charging point connected. A fixed rate applies for using the charger which is noted in the pod’s Guest Information.

Accidents happen and we endeavour to replace damaged items to match the original inventory as soon as possible. If the item needs replacing urgently please call us. All breakages must be paid for.

Your refrigerator and Sussex Trug will be well stocked as a starter pack of supplies for you to use in preparation of your DIY breakfasts. We are happy to cater for special dietary requirements, e.g. Gluten Free, if notified in advance. There are additional provisions and eateries widely available in the local villages and towns.

Exclusive purpose built stone BBQ’s have been installed alongside each Pod, and are supplied with all necessary utensils, lighters and a first complimentary pack of charcoals for your BBQ experience – additional packs can be purchased from us. Let us know in advance if you would like us to arrange for meats etc to be delivered.

We regret that for safety reasons we do not have fire pits or allow open fires.

Our pods are secluded and out of view from roads and footpaths. Nevertheless we respect the privacy of our neighbours and fellow guests by asking you to avoid light and sound disturbance after 11pm.

The Pod’s come equipped with a rechargeable torch, although each Pod has sensor lighting on approach. It’s always a good idea though to have a torch in your car for any late night returns.

We label waste bins according to waste that can be recycled and arrange that it is disposed of accordingly.

You are most welcome to wander the 13 acre site at leisure. All that we ask is you observe the countryside code by always closing field gates behind you. While wild berries and flowers might look enticing we caution against foraging for food unless you are sure you know what it is that you are finding. We exclude liability associated with any foraging you wish to pursue.

The site has protection for its great crested newts by the quarry pond where ducks and water fowl visit regularly. Birds of prey can often be seen, along with pheasant and the occasional owls.

Rabbits, squirrels, foxes and badgers are regular visitors. We encourage wildlife habitats by developing log stacks along with natural hedging and copses.

Our Wiltshire Horn ewes are naturally inquisitive and friendly. We ask you to please retrain from feeding the sheep, unless with their special sample bags located inside the storage shed. Remember to wash your hands after any contact with the sheep.

We have a progressive planting plan to provide areas of tree copse and wild meadow areas, using grass and wild flower seeds developed at the Eden project in Cornwall.

Goudhurst village is less than a mile away and the larger town of Royal Tunbridge Wells with its wide range of amenities, as well as a large hospital and fitness facilities lies within a 20 minute drive.

There is a public footpath at the border of our site which winds its way up the valley to the heart of the village. It is a gradient walk so for the less energetic the village centre is a car ride of just 5 minutes.
